Eastern Market 1878-1960
This is the site of London & American in the early days at the Old Eastern Market the corner of Exhibition & Bourke Streets Melbourne.
 
1960 - 1965
London & American moved to 181 Russell St. Melbourne as the Old Eastern Market was demolished to make way for the Southern Cross Hotel, we traded here for about 5 years.
 
1965-1988
We purchased Healeys Menswear situated at 509-513 Elizabeth St Melbourne where we traded for 23 years.
         


In 1988 the Victoria Market was refurbished and we relocated to 437 Elizabeth St Melbourne 1988-1991.
 


This is the Coat of arms awarded to London & American by His Excellency Sir H.B.Loch (K.C.B)
 


In 1878 the first Telephone Exchange was installed in our premises to be used free by the public.
 


1991
We purchased the Henderson Springs Building. The building has been extensively renovated and refurbished into a 2200 sq ft Showroom, Office accomodation and appartments.
